Diem Nguyen Family Acupuncture

Before I start my testimonial I would like to fully disclose that the 10 free sessions and one year supply of probiotics and herbal medicine in no way influenced how I feel about acupuncture or Diem “Spike” Nguyen.

And for those Monte Python fans who are considering acupuncture by Diem. Please keep in mind that when Diem slips with a needle and punctures an artery or deflates a lung that “it’s just a flesh wound.”

Finally for those who are afraid of needles and pain, keep in mind that in a previous life Diem apprenticed with the best inquisitors and honed her skills during the Spanish Inquisition.

(I thought to post this part too because it’s so hilarious, and I know it will make some people out there laugh a little)

-I was suffering with a constant headache for 2 years before I heard about Diem. While I have always been open to alternative medicine, I have never been a fan of needles or pain. However, I had finally had enough with the headache and decided to give acupuncture a try.

On the advice of a friend, I scheduled an appointment with Diem and took my wife along with me for moral support. When I first met Diem, I knew right away that I made the right decision. Diem had an air of joy, peace and compassion that put me right at ease.

She carefully listened as I explained my malady, asked probing questions and then it was time for my first acupuncture session. I was pleasantly surprised that most of the needles did not hurt and those that did were not as bad as I had anticipated. I was fascinated at how a needle in my foot could relieve the pain in my head. I also laughed when she found it “awesome” that a part of my body would twitch when the energy started to shift.

As she worked on me, she would tell me which areas of my body were blocked and we discussed what lifestyles changes I could make to get the energy flowing properly throughout my body again. She graciously answered the many questions I asked of her and she told me things that I could research after our sessions which would help me better understand my situation.

From my sessions with Diem I found that acupuncture is more than simply getting needles inserted in the body to relieve pain-which it does very well. It encompasses an understanding of your current lifestyle and how changes will improve your quality of life. And for the sugar junkies out there who never thought you could ever live without that wonderful, white granular substance, Diem has a way of getting you to want to change your lifestyle without you realizing you are doing it. I never thought I’d be able to give up sugar, well, reduce my amount of sugar, but with Diem’s help I have actually done this and am feeling so much better.

I have been truly blessed by Diem’s presence in my life and strongly recommend her as a practitioner of Chinese medicine and acupuncture.
